How to change name on iPhone?

Renaming iPod classic, iPod nano, or iPod shuffle

  1. Connect the device to the computer.
  2. On a Mac with macOS Catalina 10.15, open Finder. On a Mac with macOS Mojave 10.14 or earlier or a PC, open iTunes.
  3. Find the device on your computer.
  4. Click your device name in the upper left.
  5. Enter a new name for the device and press Return.

Well, all you need to do is just double-click on the iPhone in the Devices tab in iTunes, and then enter your own name. After this, iTunes will sync the iPhone again and immediately the name of our device will be changed.

Apparently such changes are completely unnecessary, but the very name that we see in iTunes is also presented in many applications. It may not always suit us. Then we open iTunes, change the name, synchronize and voila.

I would never have thought that the device name can be changed by double-clicking.
